Excursions

Santa Lucía

The Villa de Santa Lucia is unique for practicing different activities. If you want to go shopping, Vecindario is one of the best-known places in the area. The municipality preserves several samples of religious art, such as a 50-metre crucifix by Luján Pérez in the church of Santa Lucia. And, of course, if you are passionate about windsurfing, don’t forget to visit Pozo Izquierdo Beach, which hosts the world championship of this sport.

San Bartolomé de Tirajana

Beaches and mountains. Here you will be surrounded by nature for hiking or for sunbathing in front of the sea. This municipality is the largest on the island, and in its old town you can visit the church of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. However, the highlight is the area of Maspalomas and its dunes, impressive blocks of sand that form naturally and change position and appearance over time. We recommend walking through the urbanisations of San Agustín, Playa del Inglés and Meloneras.

Mogán

If you are looking to enjoy magnificent views, we invite you to do so from the ravines of Veneguera and Mogán. In Mogán, the beaches blend into tourist urbanisations surrounded by shops. Within this municipality, you can also visit the Church of San Antonio de Padua, dating back to 1814.

La Aldea de San Nicolás

The perfect place to be amazed by Canarian architecture in all its splendor. Stone and mud houses from the 17th and 18th centuries and balcony houses from the 18th century. You can also learn all about the aboriginal culture: several pieces of clay and stone were discovered here and are now part of the Canarian Museum of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The capital of the island has many attractions. In the neighborhood of Vegueta are preserved the most important architectural works of the city, such as the cathedral of Santa Ana, the Episcopal Palace or the Casas Consistoriales. If you prefer to go shopping, the Barrio de Triana is an unbeatable alternative.

Arucas

The urban centre of Arucas is a site of historical-artistic interest. Here you can visit the Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, the Plaza de San Juan and the Constitution, the Casas Consistoriales or the old Municipal market. After this route, what better way to end the morning than with a glass of rum at the Rum Factory-Museum in Arehucas.

Santa Brígida

Beautiful landscapes, a great flea market and the Parish Church of Santa Brigida: these are three of the things you can not miss if you visit the Villa de Santa Brigida. What’s more, at the Casa del Vino they will be delighted to serve you if you want to taste the best wines of the region.
